What is the job of a School Board Trustee, and just as importantly, what should a Trustee not do? After two years of attending and watching School Board meetings and weeks of conversations with parents, teachers, administrators and community members, Tim Self is asking our community to help define what good School Board governance should look like.

This campaign began with people placing their trust in me and with me placing my trust in them. Trust that people will show up. Trust that they'll have the difficult conversations. Trust that they'll work, volunteer, introduce me to their neighbors, and help build something bigger than any one candidate.

At 4 p.m. on Friday, August 7, Tim Self officially filed as a candidate for the at-large seat on the Anderson School District Five Board of Trustees, beginning a campaign centered on putting students first and bringing thoughtful, effective governance to one of the community’s most important institutions.
