What is the job of your School Board Trustee?

Over the past few weeks, I’ve done a lot of listening to parents, teachers, former teachers, administrators and other ASD5 stakeholders.

And for the past two years, I’ve spent a lot of time attending and watching School Board meetings.

I’ve heard a lot of different ideas about what people expect from their Board members. I’ve also heard concerns about trust, communication, leadership, accountability and the role the Board should play in the day-to-day operation of our schools.

So before I tell you what I think, I want to hear from you:

What do you believe the job of a School Board Trustee is?

What should a Trustee do?
